NOW IN OUR 22nd YEAR!
It is my honor to introduce you to the Talk of the Towers Toastmasters Club. Our club was founded and originally met on the 72nd Floor of 1 World Trade Center. Although the meetings have been relocated near Union Square, our club's name continues to pay tribute to its unique beginnings.
The 2010-2011 year was phenomenal for Talk of the Towers. We achieved a 'Perfect 10' Distinguished Club Award and are continuing this momentum into 2011-2012. Members from our club placed at the Division and District levels in the Fall/Spring speech competitions last year. Our very own Jim Decker won 1st place out of 140 clubs in the District 46 Spring Evaluation contest.
A few of our members will represent Talk of the Towers in District leadership roles. I am confident they will do a wonderful job.

In my time with the club, I have been amazed at the level of talent, dedication and sincerity I have seen from the members. Talk of the Towers is well known for providing actionable evaluations in a supportive environment. We strive to maintain the mission of Toastmasters International, offering "a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth."
As a member of Talk of the Towers, you will have the opportunity to grow at your own pace while tapping into the experience of our senior members through our mentorship program. Toastmasters is a safe place to try new speaking techniques and to achieve personal and shared goals. Thus our 2011-2012 club theme is: "Be brave. Be bold. Believe."
Our relocation to the Union Square area has provided several membership opportunities. We are open to the public and there are no requirements to visit us (email us by the Monday before the meeting to be included on the security list). Membership requires attending 3 meetings as a visitor and availability may be limited, so come visit us soon.
Let's improve our communication, leadership, and public speaking skills together!
