Talk of the Towers is a
community-based club with members of
diverse backgrounds and various
professions. We take pride in holding
well-organized and efficient meetings,
in which we challenge members on every
level of communication. Join us as a
Toastmaster and you will learn to become
an effective leader, facilitator,
listener, and presenter.
Our meeting agenda includes both
prepared speeches and a
think-on-your-feet session in which
participants respond to off-the-cuff
questions. Members also take on the role
of evaluator, to give detailed feedback
to the meeting’s speakers and other
participants.

Message From the President
NOW IN OUR 20th YEAR!
It is my honor to introduce you to the Talk of the Towers Toastmasters Club in this, its 20th Anniversary Year. The club was founded and originally met on the 72nd Floor of 1 World Trade Center. Through having relocated near Union Square, our club's name pays tribute to its unique beginnings.
Talk of the Towers has been and continues to be one of the leading Toastmaster Clubs in New York City. Last year we received the President's Distinguished Award for achieving 9 out of 10 Toastmaster International Goals and this year our mission is to have a "Perfect 10."
Our guests comment on our professional yet fun meeting environment in which we strive to maintain the mission of Toastmasters International, offering "a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth."
We are a diverse group and welcome members from all nationalities and walks of life. As a member of Talk of the Towers, you will have the opportunity to grow at your own pace while tapping into the experience of our senior members through our mentorship program. Toastmasters is a shared experience and a strong club is the foundation for the success of our members. In recognition thereof, our 2009-2010 club theme is: "Individual paths. Shared success."
Our recent relocation to Union Square has provided several membership opportunities. We are open to the public and there are no requirements to either visit or join us (email us with at least 6 hours prior notice so we can include you on the guest list). Membership availability may be limited by space on a first come, first served basis, so come visit us soon. Let’s join together to improve our communication, leadership, and public speaking skills!

Summer Hours:
June 16, 2009 to September 15, 2009 Talk of the Towers meetings will be shortened by 45 minutes. The meetings will began @ 6:15PM and end @ 7:30PM.
